We arose early on Sunday and drove to West Bend, Wisconsin to attend sacrament meeting. Ralph Bound, a former member of the Geneva Ward, is now their Bishop. We then returned to the home of Elliott Adkins, changed into scout uniforms and drove to Camp Bear Paw, about 3 hours away. The weather was dark and stormy on the way there, but blue skies appeared with our arrival at the camp. First impressions: what a wonderful camp! It restored my faith in scout camps. I was beginning to think camps of this caliber no longer exist. Fortunately, I was wrong. | |
