Russell Woods Forest Preserve

April 6, 2002

It was a nice day today. Emma and I were suffering from cabin fever and we just had to get out of the house. We took a drive to Russell Woods Forest Preserve and went for a short walk along the Kishwaukee River. Afterwards, we decided to build a small fire and cook up some hot chocolate. A small but hot oak fire, and we had water boiling in no time at all. Emma stirs in the hot chocolate, adding about twice the recommended amount so it's nice and creamy!
Bill takes his hot chocolate "Hoodlum" style - cooked in and served from a coffee can.
Emma finishes off the hot chocolate.
Daddy's little dork.
