| Our March activity was a campout at Gebhard Woods State Park, followed by a 6.7 mile hike along the Illinois Michigan Canal from Gebhard Woods east to Aux Sable Aqueduct. I had jury duty this week so I was unable to attend the campout, but drove to Morris early Saturday morning for the hike. | |

|
| Direction to Aux Sable Aqueduct: Take Hwy 47 south to Morris. Immediately after crossing over I-80, turn right (east) on Hwy 6. Continue east on Hwy 6, past the entrance to Wal-Mart, about 6 miles to Tabler Road (which is actually east of North Tabler Road!), then right (south) and continue about a mile to the canal. Go over the canal, and turn right. The parking lot is about a quarter mile down the road on the right hand side. | |
