On August 20-23, 2005 I had the privilege of attending the Southern California Dirttime
Rendezvous, an informal gathering of friends and families interested in wilderness
survival and primitive skills. This outstanding event, organized by Dude McLean and
Alan Halcon, was held at the Wind Wolves Wildlife Preserve near Bakersfield, California.
