Fleischmann's 1-Dish Taco Bake

Ingredients

  • Taco Mixture:
    • 1 pound groud beef
    • 1 package taco seasoning
  • Fleischmann's 1-Dish Bake & Rise Batter:
    • non-stick spray
    • 1/2 cup masa corn flour -or- cornmeal (both are by the flour in baking isle at grocery store)
    • 3/4 cup all purpose flour (white flour)
    • 2 envelopes Fleischmann's Rapid Rise yeast (or 2T regular dry yeast)
    • 1 Tablespoon sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 3/4 cup milk (very warm 120 to 130 degrees--like very warm bathwater)
    • 3 Tablespoons corn oil
    • 1 egg
  • Toppings:
    • 1 cup (8 oz.) chunky salsa
    • 1 cup (4oz) shredded Mexican-style cheese
    • 1 cup corn chips, partially crushed (Doritos, or fritos)


Directions

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain. Add taco seasoning and mix well.
  • Mix batter ingredients together in a presprayed 8 x 8 baking dish (that's the square one)
  • Top batter with taco meat mixture. Pour salsa evenly over meat; sprinkle with shredded cheese and corn chips.
  • Bake by placing in a cold oven; set temperature to 350. Bake for 30 minutes or until done. Serves 6.
