Crazy Crust Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds of beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 t italian seasoning or dried oregano
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/4 t pepper
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c chopped onion (optional)
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces (optional)
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce or pizza sauce
  • 1 t. dried oregano leaves
  • 4 oz. (1 cup) shredded mozzarella cheese


Directions

  • Heat over to 425.
  • Lightly grease 12 inch pizza pan (or 9x13), sprinkle with flour.
  • Brown ground beef or italian sausage, drain.
  • In a small bowl, combine flour, italian seasoning, salt, pepper, milk and eggs; blend until smooth.
  • Pour batter into greased and floured pan, tilting pan so batter covers bottom. Spoon meat over batter; top with onions and mushrooms (or other toppings as desired.)
  • Bake at 425 on bottom rack for 25 to 30 minutes or until deep golden brown.
  • In small bowl, combine tomato sauce and oregano; spoon over pizza. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Serves 6 (yeah, maybe you should make 2!)
